What is the quality of the forecasts?
The forecasts have the well known high meteoblue quality. They correspond to the forecasts of the meteoblue web site, since both access the same high resolution data base. mete☼4me shows the same detail as 
p☼int+. The quality is constantly monitored and verified.

The forecast data of mete☼4me are calculated using high precision weather models, which cover the entire globe. The mete☼4me forecasts for the selected points are extracted from the closest model gridcell, and "down-scaled" to the p☼int location, especially for altitude.
The points selected (using the coordinates) on the MAP are assigned the average altitude of the area, as given by the closest gridcell. The gridcell spacing depends on the resolution, which is typically one third of the rainSPOT radius.
In mountainous terrain, it is possible that a considerable height difference can occur between the selected position and the area altitude. This may affect the forecast for temperature and the type of precipitation, not however the other parameters such as precipitation distribution and clouds, since these do not depend substantially on the altitude. We do not correct the wind, since this can be influenced by local topography effects, so that a correction does not produce straightforward improvements in the hilly areas.

The forecast data of mete☼4me are always automatically up-to-date. Each time the application starts or "wakes up", mete☼4me examines whether the data it has stored on your iPhone are still up-to-date. If newer forecast data have become available, these will be updated automatically.
