meteoblue Multimodel now with HARMONIE for Europe

We have included the HARMONIE model from the Royal Dutch Meteorological Institute (KNMI) in our Multimodel meteogram

Our Multimodel now shows HARMONIE (HIRLAM ALADIN Research on Mesoscale Operational NWP in Euromed), published by the Royal Dutch Meteorological Institute (KNMI). This model is part of the international HIRLAM (High Resolution Limited Area Model) programme, which is managed by several European meteorological institutes. The HARMONIE model covers Europe with 5 km spatial resolution, produces forecast for the next 48 hours and is updated twice daily. This provides a significant improvement of the forecast accuracy and uncertainty, especially in areas with variable topography.

Our Artificial Intelligence (mLM) uses HARMONIE in addition to other models to produce the most likely consensus forecast shown on our website. Furthermore, HARMONIE is graphically presented in the meteogram Multimodel on our website.

We thank the Dutch weather service for their access to this model and appreciate comments from our users.
