Will the Askja volcano erupt on Iceland?

In the last few days, there was an earthquake series with over 850 earthquakes at Askja. If the volcano erupts, the ash could currently be spread directly over Europe.

This could have a major impact on air traffic in Europe. In April 2010, air traffic in parts of Northern and Central Europe was completely suspended due to the eruption of Eyjafjallajökull on Iceland.
On our Wind map for 10,4 km altitude, you can see over where the volcanic ash would spread.
