As autumn unfolds, November promises to be a particularly busy month for meteoblue. Our specialists are actively engaging in collaborative professional gatherings focused on climate data, risk management, and adaptation. These events provide an excellent platform to share expertise and build partnerships that drive progress in climate resilience. Here’s an overview of where you can meet our experts this month:
The first event takes place on 11–12 November in Dortmund, at the B.A.U.M. Conference 2025, dedicated to developing visions for a sustainable economy and society. Dr. Sebastian Schlögl, Head of Climate Services at meteoblue, will join the workshop "Identifying and Managing Climate Risks for Resilient Business Models" alongside Anja Aschenbrenner (B.A.U.M. Consult) and Carolin Isabel Schwarz (Commerzbank).
Together, they will explore how companies can identify, assess, and manage physical and transitional climate risks to build more resilient business models. The session will highlight how data-driven insights and proactive risk management not only mitigate risks but also open new opportunities for innovation, financing, and long-term business stability.
A week later, on 20 November, meteoblue will co-host the workshop "Addressing Climate Risks in Industry – Developing Adaptation Measures Together" in Berlin, organised in cooperation with the sustainable AG and the German CEO Alliance for Climate and Economy (Stiftung KlimaWirtschaft). As part of this event, our specialists Dr. Sebastian Schlögl and Edgar Caspar will join participants from various industries to discuss current and future climate challenges.
The workshop focuses on identifying relevant climate risks – such as extreme weather events, supply chain disruptions, and regulatory changes and developing practical adaptation strategies. Through case studies and interactive sessions, participants will work together to design concrete measures that enhance business resilience, protect assets, and support sustainable growth.
The final workshop of the month, "Addressing Climate Risks in the Energy Sector – Identifying Challenges and Discussing Courses of Action Together", will also take place in Berlin, this time on 25 November. Led by meteoblue meteorological expert Oliver Indra, this event will bring together energy suppliers and grid operators to discuss the growing climate risks facing the energy sector. In a peer-learning format, participants will share experiences and ideas, encouraging discussions focused on producing plans for practical actions for adaptation. The sessions will focus on how early action, collaboration, and the use of precise climate data can reduce long-term risks, lower costs, and support the energy transition.
With these exciting events coming up, we very much look forward to the opportunity to engage with experts, discuss pressing climate challenges and exchange ideas on building stronger climate resilience.
