A stationary low in the northern Gulf of Alaska will send several bands of snow showers across the northern and central panhandle through the week. These snow showers will continue to be isolated to scattered in nature, producing widely variable accumulations over short distances. A more organized band of showers is expected to push into portions of the northern and central panhandle by Monday night into Tuesday morning. The Winter Weather Advisories could be upgraded to Winter Storm Warnings if heavier snow showers continue over the same area.
