A tropical cyclone will affect the the locality. Winds of 62 kph up to 88 kph may be expected in at least 24 hours. “INDAY” CONTINUES TO WEAKEN AS IT MOVES NORTHWESTWARD TOWARDS THE SEA EAST OF TAIWAN Location of eye/center : The center of Typhoon INDAY was estimated based on all available data at at 570 km East of Itbayat, Batanes (20.9, 127.3). Strength : Maximum winds of 140 kph near the centerand gustiness of up to 170 kph. Forecast movement : Forecast to move Northwestward at 20 kph Forecast position : Jul 10, 2026 08:00 PM - 470 km East Northeast of Itbayat, Batanes Jul 11, 2026 08:00 AM - 515 km North Northeast of Itbayat, Batanes (OUTSIDE PAR) Jul 11, 2026 08:00 PM - 685 km North of Itbayat, Batanes (OUTSIDE PAR) Jul 12, 2026 08:00 AM - 945 km North Northwest of Extreme Northern Luzon (OUTSIDE PAR) HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND AREAS Heavy Rainfall Outlook Refer to Weather Advisory No. 16 issued at 11:00 AM today for the heavy rainfall outlook due to TC INDAY and the Southwest Monsoon. Severe Winds The wind signals warn the public of the general wind threat over an area due to the tropical cyclone. Local winds may be slightly stronger/enhanced in coastal and upland/mountainous areas exposed to winds. Winds are less strong in areas sheltered from the prevailing wind direction. Minor to moderate impacts from gale-force winds are possible within any of the areas under Wind Signal No. 2. Minimal to minor impacts from strong winds are possible within any of the areas under Wind Signal No. 1. The enhanced Southwest Monsoon and the periphery of Typhoon INDAY will bring strong to gale-force gusts over the following areas (especially in coastal and upland areas exposed to winds): Today and tomorrow (11 July): Most of the country. Sunday (12 July): Most of Luzon, most of Visayas, Zamboanga del Norte, Misamis Occidental, Lanao del Norte, Camiguin, and Davao Oriental HAZARDS AFFECTING COASTAL WATERS A Gale Warning is in effect over the northern and eastern seaboards of Luzon. For more details, refer to Gale Warning No. 6 issued at 5:00 AM today. 24-Hour Sea Condition Outlook Up to very rough seas over the following coastal waters: Up to 7.0 m: The northern and eastern seaboards of Batanes. Up to 6.0 m: The seaboards of Babuyan Islands; the northeastern seaboard of mainland Cagayan; the remaining seaboards of Batanes. Up to 5.0 m: The remaining seaboards of mainland Cagayan. Up to 4.5 m: The seaboards of Isabela and Camarines Norte; the northern and eastern seaboards of Catanduanes; the northern seaboard of Camarines Sur. Sea travel is risky for all types or tonnage of vessels. All mariners must remain in port or, if underway, seek shelter or safe harbor as soon as possible until winds and waves subside. Up to rough seas over the following coastal waters: Up to 4.0 m: The northern seaboards of Ilocos Norte and Aurora; the northeastern seaboards of Northern Samar; the northern and eastern seaboards of Polillo Islands. Up to 3.5 m: The northern seaboards of mainland Quezon and Northern Samar; the eastern seaboards of Albay, Sorsogon, Eastern Samar, Dinagat Islands, Bucas Grande-Siargao Islands, Surigao del Sur, and Davao Oriental; the remaining seaboards of Ilocos Norte, Aurora, and Catanduanes. Up to 3.0 m: The seaboards of Ilocos Sur and Zambales; the western seaboards of Pangasinan, Bataan, Occidental Mindoro including Lubang Islands, and mainland Palawan including Calamian Islands; the northwestern seaboards of La Union Mariners of small seacrafts, including all types of motorbancas, are advised not to venture out to sea under these conditions, especially if inexperienced of operating ill-equipped vessels. Up to moderate to rough seas over the following coastal waters: Up to 2.5 m: The seaboards of Romblon, Cuyo Islands, Cagayancillo Islands, and Antique; the western seaboards of Cavite, Batangas, and Negros Occidental; the southern seaboards of Marinduque, Iloilo, and Guimaras; the remaining seaboards of Camarines Sur, Albay, Sorsogon, Northern Samar, and Davao Oriental. Up to 2.0 m: The remaining seaboards of Visayas, Southern Luzon, Surigao del Norte, and Dinagat Islands; the seaboards of Camiguin, Misamis Oriental, and Zamboanga del Norte; the southern seaboards of Basilan, Sulu, Tawi-Tawi, and Davao Occidental. Mariners of motorbancas and similarly sized vessels are advised to take precautionary measures while venturing out to sea and, if possible, avoid navigation under these conditions. Other coastal waters have forecast wave heights of less than 2.0 m. TRACK AND INTENSITY OUTLOOK It must be emphasized that heavy rainfall and severe winds may still be experienced in localities outside the landfall point and the forecast confidence cone. Refer to “Other Hazards affecting Land Areas” for more details. Furthermore, the track may still shift within the limit of the forecast confidence cone. INDAY is forecast to generally move northwestward while remaining over the Philippine Sea and may pass closest to Extreme Northern Luzon between tonight and tomorrow (11 July) morning. Afterwards, INDAY will move toward the southern islands of Japan and may make landfall or pass close over the northern coast of Taiwan. It will then exits the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) by tomorrow morning or afternoon and make landfall over the eastern coast of mainland China by tomorrow evening or Sunday (12 July) early morning. INDAY is forecast to remain as a typhoon until it exits PAR. It will then weaken into a severe tropical storm after moving further inland over mainland China.
