- At 655 PM CDT Tuesday, river gauges continue to suggest that there are areas of high water and localized minor flooding from Monday's rainfall. No additional rainfall is expected. One to two inches of rain that has already fallen and snowmelt runoff in Cook County will keep river levels elevated today. The Baptism River and Beaver River in Lake County are also experiencing high flows today due to runoff from the one to two inches of rainfall yesterday and last night.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include, Grand Marais, Gunflint Lake, Two Harbors, Silver Bay, Grand Portage, Clear Lake, Lutsen, Tofte, Beaver Bay, Dumbbell Lake, Forest Center, Temperance River State Park, George Manitou State Park, Taconite Harbor, Sugar Loaf Cove, Isabella, Little Saganaga Lake, Little Marais, Finland and Alpine Lake.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Campers and hikers should avoid flooded trail crossings. If camping at a site along or near the banks of rivers or streams, move away from those locations and seek higher ground. Trails in hilly terrain can quickly become unstable during or shortly after heavy rainfall.
