The Hydrologic Forecast Centre has updated the High Wind Effect Warning for the Lake Winnipeg South Basin, including the eastern shores from Grand Marais to Victoria Beach, and Little Black River to Manigotagan on June 14. Winds will increase to extend from Winnipeg Beach to the eastern shores to Manigotagan on June 15, causing water levels to rise between 0.9 and 1.5 meters. Significant and forceful wave action is anticipated throughout affected regions posing a potential threat to lakeside infrastructure and property.
