THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS EXTENDED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 411 TO INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING AREAS UNTIL 11 PM CDT THIS EVENING IN OKLAHOMA THIS WATCH INCLUDES 3 COUNTIES IN NORTHERN OKLAHOMA GRANT IN NORTHWEST OKLAHOMA ALFALFA MAJOR THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF CARMEN, CHEROKEE, FAIRVIEW, HELENA, LAMONT, MEDFORD, POND CREEK, AND WAKITA.
At 930 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking the leading edge of winds from strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Caldwell Kansas to Hillsdale to Orienta to north of 5 miles north of Chester. Movement was southeast at 40 mph. Strong winds will occur well before the arrival of the thunderstorms themselves.
HAZARD,Wind gusts up to 50 mph.

IMPACT,Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects.
