The first round of precipitation is over and brought widespread rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches, heaviest near Austin to Byron Minnesota and across all of northeast Iowa. There have been reports of ponding of water and small creeks exceeding their banks. Additional rainfall amounts this evening are expected to be around an inch. Storms are expected to be fast moving, which will limit the flash flood threat, but ponding of water in poor drainage areas is expected.
