Forecast movement : Forecast to move North Northwestward at 30 kph Forecast position : Jun 26, 2026 08:00 AM - 1,300 km East Northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon Jun 26, 2026 08:00 PM - 1,640 km Northeast of Extreme Northern Luzon (OUTSIDE PAR) HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND AREAS Heavy Rainfall Outlook Refer to Weather Advisory No. 16 issued at 11:00 PM today for the heavy rainfall outlook due to the Southwest Monsoon. Severe Winds The Southwest Monsoon will bring strong to gale-force gusts over the following areas (especially in coastal and upland areas exposed to winds): Today: Most of Luzon, Panay Island, and Negros Occidental. Tomorrow (26 June): Most of Luzon. Saturday (27 June): Most of Luzon HAZARDS AFFECTING COASTAL WATERS 24-Hour Sea Condition Outlook Up to rough seas over the following coastal waters: Up to 3.0 m: The seaboard of Batanes. Mariners of small seacrafts, including all types of motorbancas, are advised not to venture out to sea under these conditions, especially if inexperienced or operating ill-equipped vessels. Up to moderate seas over the following coastal waters: Up to 2.5 m: The northern and western seaboards of Babuyan Islands; the northern seaboard of Ilocos Norte. Up to 2.0 m: The remaining seaboards of Babuyan Islands and Ilocos Norte; the seaboards of mainland Cagayan, Isabela, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Zambales, Lubang Island, and Kalayaan Islands; the western seaboards of Pangasinan, Bataan, and Batangas. Mariners of motorbancas and similarly sized vessels are advised to take precautionary measures while venturing out to sea and, if possible, avoid navigation under these conditions. Other coastal waters have forecast wave heights of less than 2.0 m. TRACK AND INTENSITY OUTLOOK It must be emphasized that heavy rainfall and severe winds may still be experienced in localities outside the forecast confidence cone. Refer to “Other Hazards affecting Land Areas” for more details. Furthermore, the track may still shift within the limit of the forecast confidence cone. Severe Tropical Storm GARDO will remain far from the Philippine landmass throughout the forecast period. It is forecast to move generally northward until it exits PAR by tomorrow (26 June) morning or afternoon. Afterwards, it will continue moving northward towards southern Japan. GARDO is forecast to remain a severe tropical storm within the next 12 hours and may weaken into a tropical storm tomorrow afternoon or evening. However, the possibility that GARDO will remain a severe tropical storm within the next 24 hours is not ruled out.
