DAMAGING SURF CONDITIONS which may lead to coastal erosion and localised damage to coastal infrastructure are possible between Gregory and Cape Leeuwin. Increased wave heights and DAMAGING SURF CONDITIONS are possible through to Monday afternoon.
Beach conditions in these areas could be dangerous and people should stay well away from the surf and surf exposed areas.
ABNORMALLY HIGH TIDES which may lead to sea water flooding of low-lying coastal areas are likely between Jurien Bay and Israelite Bay. Tides are expected to rise well above the normal high tide mark for coastal areas between Cape Leeuwin and Israelite Bay during the Monday morning high tide. Tides between Jurien Bay and Cape Leeuwin are also expected to rise above the normal high tide mark Monday morning but are not expected to be as high as Sunday morning.
Locations which may be affected include Albany, Bunbury, Esperance, Geraldton, Mandurah, Margaret River and Perth.
Significant Wave Heights of around 10 metres were recorded overnight at Rottnest Island and 7 metres at Mandurah wave buoys.
