SITUATION OVERVIEW

After making forecast landfall along the Gulf Coast later this evening, Isaias is forecast to begin making a northward trek inland. The latest forecast from the NHC has Isaias impacting portions of the Mid-South at Tropical Storm strength. The primary impacts with Isaias' remnants here in the Mid-South will be gusty winds and periods of heavy rainfall. Though uncertainty still exists with the overall impacts, storm track, and intensity this far inland, four counties in the Mid- South remain in a Tropical Storm Warning through Saturday afternoon with wind gusts up to 45 mph. These areas will also see rainfall amounts up to 3".
