Marcatorul de locație este plasat pe Russian Mission. Această animație arată radarul de precipitații pentru intervalul de timp selectat, precum și o prognoză pe 2h. Crucile portocalii indică fulgerele. Date furnizate de nowcast.de (disponibile în SUA, Europa și Australia). Burnița sau ninsoarea ușoară pot fi invizibile pentru radar. Intensitatea precipitațiilor este codificată prin culori, de la turcoaz la roșu.
Imaginea satelitară în timp real combină lumina vizibilă în timpul zilei cu radiația infraroșie pe timp de noapte. Noaptea, imaginea nu este întunecată deoarece radiația infraroșie poate detecta diferențele de temperatură. Din păcate, norii joși și ceața sunt dificil de deosebit de temperaturile solului și, prin urmare, pot fi aproape invizibili pe timp de noapte. Imaginile satelitare Meteosat pentru Europa sunt actualizate în timp real la fiecare 5 minute. Imaginile GOES-16/GOES-17 (America de Nord și de Sud) și Himawari (Asia) se actualizează la fiecare 10 minute.
Precipitațiile sunt estimate pe baza radarului și a sateliților. Estimările de precipitații provenite de la sateliți sunt mai puțin precise noaptea decât în timpul zilei.
