A rainstorm is observed over the northeastern portion of Ghana. This storm is expected to spread to more areas within the northern sector this morning to produce moderate to heacy rain with thunder within the Upper East, Northeast, Northern, Savannah and Upper West regions. The storm is expected to spread through the Upper East, Northeast and Northern regions between 8am and 11am. Within the Savannah and Upper West regions, the storm is expected to have impact between 9am and 12pm.
Residents in the affected regions are advised to take precautionary measures ahead of the approaching rains. Avoid outdoor activities during heavy downpours, and stay clear of flooded roads and waterways.
