Widespread critical fire weather conditions are ongoing throughout much of western and northern New Mexico today. Vegetation remains drier than normal, particularly in the northwest portion of the state. Southwest winds trend weaker in most areas Monday, except across the northeast where critical conditions are likely again during the afternoon hours. Fire danger trends higher again Tuesday as southwest winds increase again.
