SNOW FOR THE PANHANDLE INTO THE EARLY WORK WEEK
- A long duration snow event is ongoing with the next band of snow arriving in the next few hours for much of the Icy Strait Corridor as the Low stalls offshore. Beginning later this morning and into early afternoon, snow showers are expected to develop for the central panhandle, moving northeastward. Placement of these showers is highly uncertain, but has been pinned down from northern Prince of Wales Island up to around Petersburg. While snow showers could certainly develop outside of this area, highest likelihood based on current analysis have prompted winter weather advisories for northern Prince of Wales and Petersburg. Stay tuned for updates as necessary.
