Moderate to heavy showers and thundershowers are currently affecting Essequibo Islands and surrounding areas (Bartica) These conditions are expected to persist for the next two (2) to three (3)hours. There is the potential for strong wind gusts and lightning during thundershowers and periods of heavy rainfall. Residents are advised to remain alert and exercise caution. Seek shelter during thunderstorms, avoid open areas and tall isolated objects, and take the necessary precautions to safeguard life and property.
