A band of rain and thunder clouds have been observed over the coast of Benin moving westward into Ghana. The storm is expected to bring rain if varying intensity with thunder to the Volta, Eastern and parts of the Greater Accra region later this afternoon into the evening. Dzodze, Aflao, Akatsi, Keta, Ada and surroundings are expected to experience the conditions. The storm is expected within the Volta region between 2:30 pm and 4:30pm and affect the Eastern and Greater Accra regions between 3pm and 5pm.
Residents in the affected regions are advised to take precautionary measures ahead of the approaching rains. Avoid outdoor activities during heavy downpours, and stay clear of flooded roads and waterways.
