Cover exposed skin to reduce your risk of frostbite or hypothermia. Gloves, a scarf, and a hat will keep you from losing your body heat. Make sure you have an adequate supply of food. Check to ensure you have an adequate supply of necessary medical supplies, such as prescriptions and oxygen, through the duration of the storm. Check furnaces and fuel levels. If travel is necessary make sure your car is winterized and in good working order. Persons traveling on Interstate 70 will experience travel delays and hazardous driving conditions. Use extreme caution if you must travel.
