Snow, freezing precipitation, and strong winds continue.

Locations: western Newfoundland.

Total snowfall: total snowfall (Friday into Friday night): 10 to 20 cm.

Freezing rain duration: 3 to 7 hours (this evening and again overnight). Total freezing rain amounts: 5 to 10 mm with up to 20 mm locally.

Total rainfall: 5 to 15 mm.

Maximum wind gusts: westerly 60 km/h (late Friday afternoon and Friday night).

Time span: continuing until overnight Friday night.

Remarks: Ice pellets and freezing rain will change to periods of rain and drizzle this evening. The rain will then transition back through freezing rain and ice pellets to snow by Friday morning.

As temperatures fall on Friday, snow and strengthening winds will combine to cause reduced visibility in blowing snow late Friday and Friday night.

Travel will likely be challenging. Property damage is possible.
