Poor visibility in snow and blowing snow is expected.

Falling snow combined with strong easterly wind gusts of up to 80 km/h will reduce visibility in blowing snow through southern Saskatchewan beginning Tuesday morning. These strong winds will spread eastward through the day and reach southwestern Manitoba late Tuesday afternoon.

The winds will begin to slowly diminish Tuesday evening.

Travel will likely be hazardous due to near-zero visibility.

Blowing snow advisories are issued when widespread poor visibility in blowing snow is expected.

La neige qui tombe conjointement avec les vents forts d'est soufflant en rafales jusqu'à 80 km/h réduira la visibilité dans la poudrerie sur le sud de la Saskatchewan à compter de mardi matin. Ces vents forts se propageront vers l'est au cours de la journée et atteindront le sud-ouest du Manitoba tard mardi après-midi.

Les vents commenceront à faiblir lentement mardi soir.

Heavy snowfall is expected for much of southern and central Saskatchewan beginning on Tuesday afternoon.

While the heaviest snow will fall from roughly Meadow Lake to Estevan, slightly lesser amounts will fall to the west of this band of heavy snow. Total snowfall accumulations here are likely to be in the 15 to 25 cm range by Wednesday night.

The snow will taper off Wednesday evening.

Travel will likely be challenging. Road closures are possible. Local utility outages are possible.

Snowfall warnings are issued when significant impacts are expected due to snowfall accumulations.
