DAMAGING WINDS averaging 65 to 75 km/h with peak gusts of around 90 km/h are possible over parts of the warning area east of Mitchell Plateau, extending to the remainder of the warning area later this afternoon and evening.
HEAVY RAINFALL which may lead to FLASH FLOODING is possible in the warning area from Monday afternoon. Six-hourly rainfall totals between 80 and 110 mm are likely, with isolated totals up to 140 mm possible. 24-hourly rainfall totals of 100 to 140 mm are likely, with isolated totals up to 220 mm possible.
The system crosses the northwest Kimberley coast on Tuesday morning with severe weather over the warning area expected to ease.
Ex-Tropical Cyclone Narelle continues to move towards the west-southwest in the short term; it is forecast to re-intensify over warm waters off the northwest coast and a Tropical Cyclone Advice is current for this system from Beagle Bay to Kuri Bay.
