The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) has issued an Ozone Action Day for the Houston, Galveston, and Brazoria area for Tuesday, May 14, 2024.
Atmospheric conditions are expected to be favorable for producing high levels of ozone pollution in the Houston, Galveston, and surrounding areas on Tuesday. You can help prevent ozone pollution by sharing a ride, walking, riding a bicycle, taking your lunch to work, avoiding drive through lanes, conserving energy and keeping your vehicle properly tuned.

Navasota River near Normangee affecting Madison, Brazos and Grimes Counties.
For the Brazos River,including Bryan, West Columbia, US 59, Sugar Land, TX, Hempstead, Bellville, San Felipe, Richmond, Rosharon, Moderate flooding is forecast.

IMPACTS: At 66.5 feet, Minor flooding continues with water over Baudet Road southeast of Richmond. Significant portions of the floodplain near Thompsons are inundated requiring relocation of cattle from low-lying areas.
