ADVISORY of strong winds reaching 40km/hr and large waves reaching 2m is issued for some areas along the entire coast of Indian ocean (Tanga, Dar es salaam, Pwani (including Mafia isles), Lindi and Mtwara regions together with Unguja and Pemba isles), along lake Nyasa (Njombe, Ruvuma and Mbeya regions) and along the southern part of lake Tanganyika (Katavi and Rukwa regions). Likelihood:MEDIUM Impact: MEDIUM Impacts expected: Disruption of some economic and marine activities.
The Residents of high risk areas are advised TO TAKE preventive measures. TMA will continue to monitor the situation and issue updates when necessary.
