IMPACTS: Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
- At 314 AM MST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.4 and 0.8 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.25 to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include, Glendale, Peoria, Surprise, Goodyear, Buckeye, El Mirage, Youngtown, Wittmann, Circle City, Sun City West, Waddell, Sun City, Litchfield Park, White Tank Mountain Park, Beardsley, Surprise Stadium, Luke AFB and Morristown.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

- A strong weather system moving through the region will bring widespread showers and scattered thunderstorms this morning before tapering off during the afternoon hours. Moderate to heavy rainfall with localized rainfall rates of up to one inch per hour will be possible this morning. Additional rainfall amounts of one to two inches are possible, particularly over higher terrain areas east of Phoenix.
