Heavy swells are expected along the northeastern coast of the island due to wave activity generated by the disturbance over the Indian Ocean. Wave heights are forecast to reach 3 to 3.5 metres, resulting in rough sea conditions.
Coastal communities, fishermen, mariners and other sea users are strongly advised to exercise extreme caution and avoid venturing out to sea until conditions improve. Comply with the official instructions issued by local authorities.
