The National Weather Service in Norman has issued a

  • Flash Flood Warning for, Western Johnston County in southeastern Oklahoma, Western Marshall County in southeastern Oklahoma, Carter County in southern Oklahoma, Love County in southern Oklahoma, Murray County in southern Oklahoma,

  • Until 345 AM CDT.

  • At 1239 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

HAZARD,Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT,Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

  • Some locations that will experience flash flooding include, Ardmore, Sulphur, Madill, Davis, Marietta, Lone Grove, Healdton, Wilson, Dickson, Mannsville, Springer, Thackerville, Dougherty, Gene Autry, Leon, Overbrook, Lake Murray, Milo, Turner Falls and Burneyville.

  • WHEN: Until 1 PM CDT this afternoon.

  • IMPACTS: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas.

    • Thunderstorms with very heavy rainfall are expected through Thursday morning. Rainfall totals of 2-4 inches are likely, with some locations possibly receiving as much as 6 inches of rain.
