The rainstorm in the earlier alert has engulfed most parts of southern Ghana. The effects of the storm are expected to persist this morning and produce moderate to heavy rains within the Greater Accra, Ashanti, Western, Western North, Ahafo and Central regions. Flash floods are likely to occur within the low lying areas. A separate rainstorm is appraching the upper west region and is expected to produce moderate to heacy rains with thunder over Tumu, Hamile, Nandom, Jirapa and surroundings this morning
Residents in the affected regions are advised to take precautionary measures ahead of the approaching rains. Avoid outdoor activities during heavy downpours, and stay clear of flooded roads and waterways.
