A rainstorm has propagated from Togo to the eastern border of Ghana. The rainstorm is currently producing moderate to heavy thunderstorms with rain over parts of the coast, middle sector and the transition belt. The storm is expected to propagate further westwards to produce widespread thunderstorms with rain over southern Ghana this afternoon into the evening.
1. Flash floods are expected for low-lying areas. 2. Motorists and pedestrain are advised to refrain from moving through flood waters. 3. Motorists are cautioned to drive within required speed limits and use fog lights when visibility is poor. 4. Strong winds are likely to accompany the storm so avoid taking shelter under weak structures.
