- At 1129 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen in the past two hours.
- Additional rainfall amounts of around 0.5 inch are expected over the area in the next 90 minutes.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include, Virginia Beach, Newport News, Hampton, Williamsburg, Hampton University, Langley AFB, Old Dominion University, Ocean View, Christopher Newport University, Churchland, Downtown Norfolk, Downtown Portsmouth, Patrick Henry Field, Norfolk State University, Seaford, Virginia Wesleyan University, Regent University, Deep Creek, Kempsville and Virginia Institute For Marine Sciences.
