The areas affected include, Tidal Potomac from Key Bridge to Indian Head MD,

At 554 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated showers, capable of producing winds of 20 to 25 knots. These showers were located along a line extending from 31 nm west of Key Bridge to 35 nm northwest of Mason Neck State Park to 42 nm northwest of Leesylvania State Park, moving east at 20 knots.

  • IMPACTS: Shoreline inundation is expected along portions of the seawall adjacent to Ohio Drive and the Hains Point Loop Road, and near the Tidal Basin and Jefferson Memorial. Water is expected to approach the curb near the intersection of King Street and Strand Street in Alexandria.

  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS: Tides one and a half to two feet above normal. High tide at Alexandria is at 12:12 AM overnight and 12:13 PM Sunday afternoon. High tide at Washington Channel is at 11:54 PM this evening and 11:55 AM Sunday morning.
