A small number of properties in Twyford and Hensting are currently being affected by cellar flooding. Water continues to affect Hensting Lane. From today 22/04/2024 to Friday 26/04/2024, only small amounts of rain (up to 8mm) are forecast in Hampshire. Groundwater levels are expected to continue falling and the situation will slowly improve. We continue to monitor the levels and forecast. If you have pumps to help reduce water levels, please ensure that they are operating. This Flood Alert will be updated by 18:00 on Monday 29/04/2024.

A flood alert has been issued. Groundwater levels in Hursley are high, but falling slowly. In the last week, levels have fallen by 7cm. We expect widespread cellar flooding and sewerage network impacts to be ongoing. Rain is forecast to affect Hampshire from today (25/04/2024) to Monday 29/04/2024, with some heavy spells possible over the weekend. It is possible that between 20 and 50mm of rain could be recorded during this time. Groundwater levels are expected to continue slowly falling initially. However, if heavy rainfall affects Hursley, then groundwater levels will begin to stabilise within the next week and could start to rise again. If levels do rise, then internal ground floor flooding could affect a small number of properties. We continue to monitor the levels and forecast. If you have pumps to help reduce water levels, please ensure that they are operating. This Flood Alert will be updated by 18:00 on Thursday 02/05/2024.
