In northeast New Mexico, Northeast Highlands. In northwest New Mexico, Chuska Mountains and Northwest Plateau. In west central New Mexico, West Central Highlands, West Central Mountains and West Central Plateau.

IMPACTS: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Low-water crossings may be flooded.

- Numerous showers and storms will continue through the overnight hours. Locally heavy rainfall rates in excess of 1 half inch per hour will be capable of producing rapid runoff that can lead to flash flooding, particularly below recent burn scars and areas with saturated soils.

IMPACTS: At 6.0 feet, Properties in the flood plain along the Rio Chama and near the junction of the Rio Ojo Caliente will see water in their yards. Impacts can include bank erosion and damage to wells and septic tanks. These impacts will increase in severity at higher river levels.

- At 9:00 PM MDT Friday the stage was 4.3 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 5.5 feet.
- Forecast: The river is expected to rise above flood stage late this evening to a crest of 6.1 feet just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight.
- Flood stage is 6.0 feet.
- Flood History: This crest compares to a previous crest of 6.1 feet on 07/26/2001.
