Maximum temperatures increasing to the high thirties and low forties over the Southeast Coast and Wide Bay and Burnett, and reaching the low to mid forties further inland. Overnight minimum temperatures in the low to high twenties, reaching the low thirties far inland over the Channel Country. Severe heatwave conditions will continue and extend through most of southern QLD and are expected to persist well into this week. Locations likely to be impacted include Brisbane Metropolitan Area, Birdsville, Charleville, Dalby, Goondiwindi, Longreach, Roma, Stanthorpe, Thargomindah and Toowoomba.

Minor flooding is easing slowly along the Suttor River. The Suttor River at St Anns is currently at 4.69 m and falling, with minor flooding. The Suttor River at St Anns is likely to remain above the minor flood level (4.00 m) into early this week.

  • Stay away from flooded drains, rivers, streams and waterways.
  • Obey road closure signs. Plan ahead so you don't drive on flooded roads.
