On the forecast track, the center of QUEENIE may exit the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) between noon and afternoon. Outside the PAR, it will accelerate northeastward towards the sea south of mainland Japan. This tropical cyclone will intensify further while moving over the sea south of Okinawa Islands. After reaching its peak intensity, QUEENIE will begin to weaken by tomorrow (28 September).
