Under present weather conditions, At 3:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Storm "MAYMAY" {KUJIRA} was estimated based on all available data in the vicinity of Bantay, Ilocos Sur (17.6°N, 120.4°E) with maximum sustained winds of 65 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 110 km/h. It is moving Eastward at 10 km/h. Southwest Monsoon affecting Southern Luzon and the western section of Visayas. The 12-hour rainfall forecast is LIGHT TO MODERATE rains and thunderstorms. WATERCOURSES LIKELY TO BE AFFECTED : + **Isabela** - Rivers and its tributaries particularly Dikatayan, Divilacan and Palanan-Pinacanauan. + **Cagayan** - Rivers and its tributaries particularly Linao, Lower Abulug, Lower Pamplona, Cabicungan, Aunugay, Baua, Palawig and Taboan. + **Nueva Vizcaya** - All rivers and its tributaries + **Quirino** - All rivers and its tributaries

Instructions:

People living near the mountain slopes and in the low lying areas of the above mentioned river systems and the **Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Councils** concerned still advised to be alert for possible flashfloods and landslides.

A tropical cyclone will affect the locality. Winds of 39-61 kph or intermittent rains may be expected within 36 hours. “MAYMAY” FURTHER WEAKENED WHILE MOVING EAST SOUTHEAST OVER THE CORDILLERAS. Location of eye/center : The center of the eye was estimated based on all available data at in the vicinity of Gamu, Isabela (17.1, 121.8). Strength : Maximum winds of 45 kph near the centerand gustiness of up to 75 kph. Forecast movement : Forecast to move East Southeastward at 20 kph Forecast position : Aug 06, 2026 11:00 PM - 275 km East of Casiguran, Aurora HAZARDS AFFECTING LAND AREAS Heavy Rainfall Outlook Refer to Weather Advisory No. 19 issued at 11:00 AM today for the heavy rainfall outlook due to TC MAYMAY and the Southwest Monsoon. Severe Winds The wind signals warn the public of the general wind threat over an area due to the tropical cyclone. Local winds may be slightly stronger/enhanced in coastal and upland/mountainous areas exposed to winds. Winds are less strong in areas sheltered from the prevailing wind direction. Minor to moderate impacts from gale-force winds are possible within any of the areas under Wind Signal No. 2. Minimal to minor impacts from strong winds are possible within any of the areas under Wind Signal No. 1. The Southwest Monsoon and the periphery of MAYMAY will bring strong to gale-force gusts over the following areas (especially in coastal and upland areas exposed to winds): Today until Saturday (06 to 08 August): Most of the country. HAZARDS AFFECTING COASTAL WATERS A Gale Warning is in effect over the western seaboard of Northern Luzon. For more details, refer to Gale Warning No. 5 issued at 5:00 AM today. 24-Hour Sea Condition Outlook Up to very rough seas over the following coastal waters: Up to 4.5 m: The northern seaboard of Batanes. Sea travel is risky for all types or tonnage of vessels. All mariners must remain in port or, if underway, seek shelter or safe harbor as soon as possible until winds and waves subside. Up to rough seas over the following coastal waters: Up to 4.0 m: The seaboards of Babuyan Islands, Ilocos Sur, La Union, and Pangasinan; the northeastern seaboard of mainland Cagayan; the remaining seaboard of Batanes. Up to 3.0 m: The seaboards of Ilocos Norte, Isabela, and northeastern Aurora; the northern seaboard of Camarines Norte and Camarines Sur; the northern and eastern seaboards of Catanduanes and Northern Samar; the eastern seaboard of Davao Oriental; the remaining seaboard of mainland Cagayan. Mariners of small seacrafts, including all types of motorbancas, are advised not to venture out to sea under these conditions, especially if inexperienced of operating ill-equipped vessels. Up to moderate seas over the following coastal waters: Up to 2.5 m: The seaboards of Zambales, Lubang Islands, and Surigao del Sur; the western seaboards of Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Occidental Mindoro, Calamian Islands, northern mainland Palawan, and Kalayaan Islands; the northern and eastern seaboards of Polillo Islands; the eastern seaboards of Albay, Sorsogon, Eastern Samar, Dinagat Islands, and Siargao-Bucas Grande Islands; the remaining seaboards of Aurora and Camarines Norte. Up to 2.0 m: The seaboards of Romblon and Davao Occidental; the northern seaboard of Cagayancillo Islands; the western seaboards of mainland Palawan, Masbate, and Negros Occidental; the southern seaboards of Antique, Iloilo, Guimaras, and Davao Oriental; the remaining seaboards of Batangas, Occidental Mindoro, and Kalayaan Islands. Mariners of motorbancas and similarly sized vessels are advised to take precautionary measures while venturing out to sea and, if possible, avoid navigation under these conditions. Other coastal waters have forecast wave heights of less than 2.0 m. TRACK AND INTENSITY OUTLOOK It must be emphasized that heavy rainfall and severe winds may still be experienced in localities outside the landfall point and the forecast confidence cone. Refer to “Other Hazards affecting Land Areas” for more details. Furthermore, the track may still shift within the limit of the forecast confidence cone. On the latest forecast track, MAYMAY will traverse the mountainous terrain of Northern Luzon before emerging over the eastern coastal waters of Isabela within the next 12 hours. MAYMAY is forecast to continue weakening while moving further inland and may be downgraded into a remnant low this afternoon or evening. The remnant low of MAYMAY will move generally southeastward until it merges into the larger circulation of Tropical Cyclone DOLPHIN.

Considering these developments, the public and disaster risk reduction and management offices concerned are advised to take all necessary measures to protect life and property. Persons living in areas identified to be highly or very highly susceptible to these hazards are advised to follow evacuation and other instructions from local officials. For heavy rainfall warnings, thunderstorm/rainfall advisories, and other severe weather information specific to your area, please monitor products issued by your local PAGASA Regional Services Division.
