ประเทศไทยยังคงมีฝนฟ้าคะนองเกิดขึ้นได้ โดยมีฝนตกหนักบางแห่งบริเวณภาคใต้ตอนล่าง เนื่องจากมรสุมตะวันตกเฉียงใต้ที่พัดปกคลุมทะเลอันดามัน ประเทศไทย และอ่าวไทย ประกอบกับมีหย่อมความกดอากาศต่ำปกคลุมประเทศเวียดนามตอนบน สำหรับบริเวณทะเลอันดามันตอนบนมีคลื่นสูงประมาณ 2 เมตร ส่วนทะเลอันดามันตอนล่างและอ่าวไทยมีคลื่นสูง 1-2 เมตร บริเวณที่มีฝนฟ้าคะนองคลื่นสูงมากกว่า 2 เมตร อนึ่ง พายุไต้ฝุ่น “เมขลา” บริเวณมหาสมุทรแปซิฟิกหรือด้านตะวันออกของประเทศฟิลิปปินส์ มีแนวโน้มเคลื่อนตัวไปทางตอนใต้ของประเทศญี่ปุ่น โดยพายุนี้ไม่เคลื่อนเข้าสู่ประเทศไทย
ขอให้ประชาชนระวังอันตรายจากฝนฟ้าคะนองและฝนที่ตกสะสมในระยะนี้ไว้ด้วย ชาวเรือบริเวณทะเลอันดามันและอ่าวไทยเดินเรือด้วยความระมัดระวัง และหลีกเลี่ยงการเดินเรือในบริเวณที่มีฝนฟ้าคะนอง
The southwest monsoon prevailing over the Andaman Sea, Thailand and the Gulf is strengthening while the low pressure cell covers over upper Vietnam with more rains. The moderate wind and waves in the upper Andaman Sea are expected about 2 meters high, 1-2 meters high in the lower Andaman Sea and the Gulf and above 2 meters high in thundershowers. In addition, Typhoon “MEKKHALA” over the Pacific Ocean, east of the Phillipines is expected to move to the south of Japan. This strom is not move to Thailand.
