The National Weather Service in Hastings has issued a

  • Flash Flood Warning for, Howard County in central Nebraska, Northwestern Merrick County in central Nebraska, Southwestern Nance County in central Nebraska, Sherman County in central Nebraska,

  • Until 400 AM CDT Saturday.

  • At 916 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  • Some locations that will experience flash flooding include, St. Paul, Loup City, Palmer, Dannebrog, Litchfield, Elba, Ashton, Howard City, Farwell, Rockville, Hazard, Cushing, and Boelus.
