IMPACTS: Splashover and Minor coastal flooding is expected in the lowest lying areas along the south coast of Rhode Island and Massachusetts over multiple high tide cycles late today through this weekend. A few immediate coastal roads may briefly flood due to wave action. In addition,minor beach erosion is also possible.

Periods of rain will continue across the region right through Monday. Storm total rainfall amount of 2-4" are expected, but localized 5-7" amounts are possible. If these higher amounts are realized,the potential for both urban and small river/stream flooding would increase. This is particularly true if these localized higher amounts occur over a vulnerable urban center.
