ADDITIONAL DETAILS:
- At 316 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated widespread showers and thunderstorms with torrential rainfall extending from Denmark and Nevils east through parts of the Savannah Metro Area into Hilton Head. AS much as 1 to 3 inches of rain has fallen in some areas this afternoon. An additional 1 to 2 inches of rain could fall, resulting in minor flooding of low-lying and poor drainage areas.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include, Hilton Head Island, Pooler, Bluffton, Port Royal, Tybee Island, Springfield, Pembroke, Godley Station, Savannah International Airport, Downtown Savannah and I-16/I-95 Interchange.
