THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE HAS ISSUED SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WATCH 333 IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM EDT THIS EVENING FOR THE FOLLOWING AREAS IN NEW YORK THIS WATCH INCLUDES 5 COUNTIES IN CENTRAL NEW YORK CAYUGA JEFFERSON LEWIS OSWEGO IN WESTERN NEW YORK WAYNE THIS INCLUDES THE CITIES OF AUBURN, FAIR HAVEN, LOWVILLE, NEWARK, OSWEGO, AND WATERTOWN.
At 621 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a cluster of strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Adams to 10 miles south of Barnes Corners to near Redfield to 7 miles west of Camden. Movement was northeast at 35 mph.
HAZARD,Wind gusts up to 40 mph and pea size hail.

IMPACT,Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor damage to outdoor objects is possible.
Locations impacted include, Watertown, Sandy Island Beach State Park, Fort Drum, Carthage, Lowville, Pulaski, West Carthage, Central Square, Adams, Redfield, Herrings, Selkirk Shores State Park, Highmarket, Adams Center, Barnes Corners, Whetstone Gulf State Park, Brewerton, Hastings, Richland, and Constantia.
This includes Interstate 81 between exits 32 and 44.
