At 303 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Mountain Park, moving southwest at 5 mph. Other strong thunderstorms were located near Mescalero and Bent. These storms will continue to affect the Sacramento Mountains over the next hour. Stronger storms may produce small hail and gusty winds. Storms will begin to weaken and drift towards the lower elevations by 4 PM, bringing the risk of gusty winds and heavy rain to Alamogordo and Tularosa early this evening.
