WIND: Southwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. Localized gusts up to 60 mph are possible. Winds will become more westerly in the late afternoon and evening hours as they gradually weaken.

HUMIDITY: Between 10 and 20 percent. The lowest humidity is expected south of the North Platte River.

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
