The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in Oklahoma

Caney River near Collinsville affecting Tulsa and Rogers Counties.

  • WHAT: Moderate flooding is forecast.

  • WHERE: Caney River near Collinsville.

  • WHEN: Until Tuesday morning.

  • IMPACTS: At 32.0 feet, considerable farmland is flooded. County roads near the river become impassable.

  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

    • At 1:30 PM CDT Friday the stage was 25.5 feet.
    • Forecast: The river is expected to rise above flood stage this evening to a crest of 31.7 feet tomorrow afternoon. The river is then expected to fall slightly before rising again to a crest of 31.9 feet early Sunday afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage early Tuesday morning.
    • Flood stage is 26.0 feet.

  • WHAT: Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible.

  • WHERE: Portions of east central and northeast Oklahoma, including the following counties, in east central Oklahoma, Cherokee, Muskogee and Okfuskee. In northeast Oklahoma, Adair, Craig, Creek, Delaware, Mayes, Northeast Osage, Nowata, Okmulgee, Ottawa, Pawnee, Rogers, Southeast Osage, Tulsa, Wagoner, Washington OK and Western Osage.

  • WHEN: Through Saturday morning.

  • IMPACTS: Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

  • ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

    • Thunderstorms are expected to develop this afternoon and evening near or over far northwest Arkansas in the vicinity of a boundary. Slow-moving and/or training storms in a moist environment will have the potential to drop locally heavy rainfall totals, on the order of 3 to 7 inches. With soils fairly saturated, most of this rainfall will be runoff and lead to quick onset flash flooding.
