ABNORMALLY HIGH TIDES which may lead to sea water flooding of low-lying coastal areas are possible along the entire Victorian coast, including Port Phillip and Western Port Bay, during Wednesday. Tides are likely to rise well above the normal high tide mark during the Wednesday afternoon and evening high tides. Elevated sea levels are expected to persist into Thursday. Locations which may be affected include Warrnambool, Geelong, Melbourne, Portland, Brighton, Frankston, Port Fairy, Ocean Grove, Inverloch, Port Albert, Phillip Island, and Lakes Entrance.
