Most of northern Illinois is favored to receive an inch or more of rain through the end of Wednesday with pockets closer to two to three inches possible. A number of area rivers and streams are currently swollen as a result of recent rain. This outlook means that elevated water levels and potential impacts are possible, but not yet certain.
