- The combination of abundant moisture, afternoon heating, and a weather system moving into the region will support showers and thunderstorms today through this evening. Moderate to heavy rainfall with rainfall rates in excess of 1-2 inches per hour is expected with most storms and storms may train over the same areas leading to high rainfall accumulations.
