STORM INFORMATION: At 8 PM ChST,the center of Super Typhoon Bavi (09W) was located near latitude 13.6N,longitude 147.6E. This was about 190 miles east of Guam. Storm motion was northwest, 305 degrees, at 10 mph. Storm intensity was 165 mph.

- At 814 PM ChST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.6 and 1.2 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1.2 to 1.6 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include, Dededo, Tamuning, Yigo, Mangilao, Chalan Pago-Ordot, Barrigada, Yona, Hagatna Heights, Andersen AFB, Talofofo, Mongmong-Toto-Maite, Sinajana, Inarajan, Asan, Merizo, Piti, Santa Rita, Umatac, Sinapalo and Songsong.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.

Surf will potentially build to 35 feet Monday morning near Rota and 30 feet elsewhere as Bavi makes its passage through the islands likely as a Category 5 Super Typhoon.
