A Tropical Storm Warning remains in effect for Alamagan.

A Tropical Storm Watch continues for Pagan and Agrihan.

A Coastal Flood Warning remains in effect for Guam, Rota, Tinian, and Saipan.

A High Surf Warning remains in effect for Guam, Rota, Tinian and Saipan.

A Flood Watch is in effect for all of Guam and the Northern Marianas. Please listen closely for any Flood Warnings that might be in effect for your area.

  • STORM INFORMATION: At 8 PM ChST,the center of Super Typhoon Bavi (09W) was located near latitude 13.6N,longitude 147.6E. This was about 190 miles east of Guam. Storm motion was northwest, 305 degrees, at 10 mph. Storm intensity was 165 mph.

  • SITUATION OVERVIEW: Catastrophic wind damage could occur near the eye of Super Typhoon Bavi. Additionally, storm surge, runup, and hazardous surf will also contribute hazardous effects.

    • At 814 PM ChST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.6 and 1.2 inches of rain have fallen.
    • Additional rainfall amounts of 1.2 to 1.6 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
    • Some locations that will experience flooding include, Dededo, Tamuning, Yigo, Mangilao, Chalan Pago-Ordot, Barrigada, Yona, Hagatna Heights, Andersen AFB, Talofofo, Mongmong-Toto-Maite, Sinajana, Inarajan, Asan, Merizo, Piti, Santa Rita, Umatac, Sinapalo and Songsong.

Instructies:

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
