WHAT: Rain and snow showers with pockets of freezing rain and freezing drizzle at times.
-
WHERE: Central/Eastern Arctic Coast/Plains.
-
WHEN: Through Wednesday Morning, September 16th.
-
IMPACTS: Travel could be difficult at times. Pockets of freezing rain and freezing drizzle could lead to light ice accumulations and, as a result, slippery travel and surface conditions.
-
ADDITIONAL DETAILS: A warm front lifting northward will allow for warmer air to overrun the colder air already in place at the surface. Precipitation will initially begin as a freezing rain/snow mix, transitioning to predominantly snow throughout the daytime hours.
